I saw a post on linmob.net regarding an update to the NFC maintainer. I am mostly curious what is missing/not missing or being worked on/not worked on.

Not generally a topic i care much about but i find my self in Europe and in need of tap to pay via a digital card due to organization wide Wise account. Not strictly necessary or urgent but basically it means i must borrow a peer to make any non personal purchases for the duration of our trip. (3 weeks In more rural Netherlands)

I use 1+6t w/ PmOS fir maybe the past 9 months and before that an OG pinephone for several years.

One of the Main developers of FuriOS implemented NFC support. But he told me that there is not much use for it right now. The Platform support and the Hardware seems to be there. The Problem is that there is no support from banks. I was already thinking about solving the Problem but the open protocols and API's for banking is quite limited. The best thing i found is a open source app for viewing your bank account called Saldo. There is a also GNU Taler which could be developed to work with Linux Native phones. Right know Taler only works in combination of waydroid.
